Here Are Reasons Why You Should Consider Your Own Channel

Are you thinking about launching your own YouTube channel?

I recently shared a video on my StorySMART YouTube channel where I cover the main reasons why you should seriously consider launching your own YouTube channel for your brand. I shared my personal reasons for launching my channel.

The video is helpful because there isn't much out there on YouTube about WHY you should launch a channel. There is a TON of videos about HOW you can do it. I know, because I watched a lot of them - seems like hundreds - as I hemmed and hawed and procrastinated in making my go - no go decision on launching the channel.

For me, my decision was really rooted in my passion for video storytelling and brand community building. I see both of those things as my niche. I believe every brand should be telling their story using video. I also believe brands need to nurture the development of their brand community. YouTube embodies both.

I also wanted to increase my video production skill set and teach myself YouTube by using it. Trial and err. Anyway, I realize there isn't much of a YouTube ecosystem in St. Louis, which is a HUGE missing in our community. I see StorySMART stepping into that opportunity. Anyway, check out my episode and let me know what you think. Until next time, stay StorySMART (#getStorySMART).
